About the position

The Electronic Test Technician role at HI-TECH ELECTRO INC involves servicing, testing, maintaining, and repairing industrial circuit boards and computer motherboards. The technician will conduct troubleshooting and repairs at the component level, utilizing various electronic test equipment and tools to ensure the functionality of electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, maintain, and repair industrial circuit boards and computer motherboards.
• Perform electronic printed circuit board troubleshooting and repair, including component replacement.
• Conduct tests on digital and analog circuits using assorted test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
• Utilize technical databases and electronic schematic diagrams to isolate and troubleshoot circuit board malfunctions.
• Use light tools, hand tools, and electronic test equipment to repair various types of electronic circuit boards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree or electronic engineering certification preferred.
• Experience in electronics engineering, biomedical engineering, automotive electronics, or telecommunications engineering.
• Ability to analyze electronic-digital circuitry and develop troubleshooting and repair procedures.
• Proficiency in analog and digital electronics, microprocessors, and computerized test equipment.
• Basic soldering skills with the ability to learn advanced methods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with microelectronic engineering or related manufacturing experience.
• Entry-level training program available for candidates with good electronics knowledge.
