About the position

The Electronic Warfare Program Engineering Manager II at BAE Systems is responsible for leading a diverse interdisciplinary engineering team in the development and execution of Electronic Warfare capabilities. This role requires full-time on-site work and involves collaboration with program managers and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution, adherence to schedules, and compliance with engineering standards. The manager will oversee all engineering efforts, from architecture and design through integration testing and delivery, while fostering a positive work environment and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a diverse interdisciplinary engineering team for the program.
  • Partner with the program office to manage the successful execution of all engineering efforts.
  • Monitor key activities to ensure work scope, product cost targets, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Attend program control meetings, design reviews, and audit processes to ensure adherence to plans and requirements.
  • Lead team in planning and execution of program and engineering reviews per company process.
  • Coordinate with functional managers and senior engineering management to engage stakeholders in effective reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable engineering processes and standards.
  • Serve as the Engineering focal point for all activity within the program.
  • Develop staffing requirements for programs and interface with functional engineering organizations.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program clearances.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of related experience or equivalent experience, training, and/or certifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including strategic thinking and building customer relationships.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Design experience in Software and/or System Engineering.
  • Experience in Agile and DEVSECOPS based program development.
  • SAP/SAR Clearance highly preferred.
