About the position

Join Leidos' High Fidelity Simulation Business Area as an Electronics and Test Technician, where you will play a crucial role in developing advanced training and simulation systems for the US Navy. This position involves working with state-of-the-art technologies to create hardware solutions that enhance naval capabilities. Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot instruments, mechanical assemblies, and electrical assemblies.
• Perform soldering and cable making tasks.
• Build computer equipment racks and cabinets.
• Cable computer networks and build cables and harnesses.
• Recognize cable and/or hardware failures and troubleshoot and repair those failures.
• Operate drill presses or other machine tools to fabricate parts.
• Assist with packing and shipping activities for large trainer deliveries.

Requirements

• AA degree in electronic technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines with quick turnaround.
• Proficiency with desktop computing platforms (PCs) and applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with Atlassian Products.
• Previous Navy (or other service) experience.
• AutoCAD or Visio experience.
• Knowledge of audio systems.
• Experience operating and maintaining secure IT systems.
