About the position

The Electronics Design & Test Engineer at Nissan will play a crucial role in overseeing the development of electronic components and systems that enhance user experience, electrification, autonomous driving, and connected services. This position involves collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure the quality, cost, and timely delivery of projects, while also focusing on customer safety and innovative vehicle features.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee passive safety electrical control units (ECU) to ensure customer safety in innovative vehicles.
  • Manage body control-related modules to provide new features and conveniences.
  • Lead project development and management of electronic components/systems to meet program cost, quality, development, and delivery timing targets.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and the Nissan Japan R&D team to ensure vehicle performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • Design project application including planning, design release, and vehicle/system compatibility to secure project QCT achievement.
  • Develop test plans aligned with vehicle development plans and conduct electrical buck/vehicle validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of directly related professional-level engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for both technical and non-technical issues.
  • Experience in electrical design and/or testing in the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of automobile electronics and vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering for automotive applications.
  • Experience using tools required for vehicle electronic development, such as CAN tools and oscilloscopes.

  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automotive safety standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of software development processes for automotive applications.
