About the position

At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking an Electronics Engineer (Hardware Responsible Engineer) or a Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Responsible Engineer) to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is pivotal in the design, analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of Avionics subsystems and hardware. As a Responsible Engineer for Avionics Subsystem(s), you will be tasked with ensuring that all designs meet performance and environmental requirements while collaborating closely with engineers and stakeholders. Your work will involve developing innovative design solutions for obsolete hardware, ensuring that our systems remain at the cutting edge of technology. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as Responsible Engineer for Avionics Subsystem(s)
  • Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot Avionics subsystems and hardware
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements
  • Develop design solutions for obsolete hardware

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of relevant engineering experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 0 years of engineering experience for Electronics Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5 years of relevant engineering experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field with 0 years of relevant engineering experience for Principal Electronics Engineer
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and/or installing avionics subsystems
  • Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)
