About the position

As an Avionics Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin, you will be integral to the development of advanced avionics products within a world-class Integrated Product Development environment. This role involves leading the design and testing of avionics systems, ensuring high standards of quality and performance in aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the Master Encoder for the avionics flight termination subsystem.
• Develop functional and physical electronics architectures for flight avionics.
• Lead electrical schematics and guide the board layouts.
• Develop electronics worst case analysis (eWCA).
• Perform card-level and box-level testing.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team in the development and integration of avionics systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 14+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 12+ years with a Master's degree.
• Experience in missile or space electrical package qualification methods.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Missile Defense Missions.
• Experience with electronics modeling/simulation tools such as SPICE.
• Experience with architecture and requirements modeling tools such as Cameo.
• Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools.
• Existing DoD Secret clearance.
