About the position

The Assistant Material Planner at LeeMAH Electronics, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Materials team by managing various administrative tasks related to purchasing, receiving, stockroom, and production control. This position is essential for ensuring timely communication and coordination between departments to facilitate efficient production planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Material Planner with reviewing ship dates, researching delays, and following purchase orders.
  • Follow up on Dispatch and Shortages report daily and fill up the information obtained from Symix (C-Tech) and Emails.
  • Communicate with Program Managers to plan and coordinate information relevant to create Sales Orders and Jobs.
  • Create Sales Orders and Jobs based on Purchase Orders from customers.
  • Schedule Jobs based on a minimum of six weeks from the Purchase Order received.
  • Manage Sales Orders and Jobs by reviewing dates, quantities, part numbers, and revisions.
  • Verify on-hand materials from Symix (C-Tech) and liaise with the stockroom department to ensure accurate information in jobs.
  • Follow up on components received from suppliers regarding QA Inspection pending status from Symix (C-Tech) to approved.
  • Communicate with the Purchasing department to follow updates, delays, and shipping dates from suppliers.
  • Analyze and compare Customer Change Notifications (CCN) and maintain liaison with Document Control department to update information.
  • Update new information based on CCN to Sales Orders and Jobs.
  • Scan and organize Purchase Orders from customers and maintain hard copies for at least 3 months.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Administrative Duties.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
