This position is 100 percent travel throughout the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service area. All travel expenses are paid, and full benefits are offered. The FAA awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This contract, valued at over $1.8 billion, has a 4-year base period with two additional 3-year options. The scope of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts, which encompass site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions, as well as at the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, along with several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500, peaking at over 650, supports this contract, in addition to subcontractors who perform construction work. Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Electronics Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform tasks such as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. You will support site preparation for contractor installation of FENS racks, provide critical power circuits and grounding for each contractor-furnished rack, and support the installation of new cable trays and conduits for FENS racks and cables. Additionally, you will install a separate path for fiber at each site, ensuring compliance with specific requirements provided by the local FAA Point of Contact (POC). Your responsibilities will also include supporting the installation of LTE antennas on roofs, providing a CCSI to report to the FAA Technical Officer Representative (TOR), and supporting general installation and construction efforts, including drafting redlines into as-built documents. You will be expected to troubleshoot, repair, align, and calibrate audio equipment and voice communication systems to the component level, utilizing schematics and various test equipment. This role requires working in unpredictable, fast-paced environments and all weather conditions, performing other responsibilities as appropriate.
