About the position

The Electronics Technician 1 position at Parsons involves conducting various tests and performing field installations related to FAA NAVAID and Radio Communication Systems. This role supports the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) awarded by the FAA, contributing to national security and aviation safety programs. The technician will work with a diverse team, utilizing their skills in electronics to ensure the successful execution of technical services across the nation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and identifying deviations from equipment malfunctions or observational errors.
• Construct components and subunits or adapt standard equipment, and assemble, construct, or deconstruct simple or standard equipment or parts.
• Service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
• Follow specific design layouts for FAA NAVAID and Radio Communication Systems during field installations.
• Assist in the performance of plant construction activities such as duct banks, conduits, and wiring, including running cable up towers.
• Receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience or education in electronics; minimum 1 year experience or equivalent in education and/or military technical training.
• Ability to meet customer security requirements, including a background check by Federal Authorities.
