About the position

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. The company is dedicated to developing and maintaining realistic, integrated test and training environments that prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. As an Electronics Technician II, you will work under general technical guidance and specialize in ground-based electronic systems. Your role will involve working on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing these systems. This position is crucial for ensuring that all electronic systems function optimally and meet the operational requirements of the military. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a range of electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, including digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers, and transmission lines. Your technical knowledge of electronic principles will be essential in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performing necessary repairs to restore equipment to its required operating condition. Additionally, you will be expected to manipulate computer keyboards and interpret computer displays, troubleshoot to the component level, and perform other job-related duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems.
  • Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition.
  • Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays.
  • Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs.
  • Perform other job-related duties, as required.

Requirements

  • Specialized knowledge in ground-based electronic systems.
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing electronic equipment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Technical knowledge of electronic principles and ability to apply this knowledge to solve problems.
  • Experience in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
