About the position

The Electronics Technician II is a key member of a multi-functional team providing technical support services for the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves ensuring that electronic systems, subsystems, and components meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements through troubleshooting, repair, assembly, refurbishment, installation, calibration, and testing of electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electronic technician services to various FAALC Product Divisions.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and test electronic systems and components.
  • Design test fixtures and prototypes as needed.
  • Analyze equipment performance and collect data for equipment installation.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with FAA and FAALC standards and technical instructions.
  • Record individual time, leave, and training completion; manage performance; and comply with organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Two years practical experience in an electronics technician support position.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and updating engineering documentation and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, assemble, test, and install electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Minimum High School diploma/GED with formal technical training or an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
