About the position

The Electronics Technician III position at Advantor Systems involves supervising and administering Electronic Security Systems Contracts, ensuring compliance and effective program execution. The role requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance and entails providing emergency repair and response services for integrated alarm intrusion systems, access control systems, CCTV, and GBR. The technician will also perform routine maintenance, document service calls, and may assist with field installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine systems maintenance and service repairs for integrated alarm intrusion systems, access control systems, CCTV, and GBR.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on electronic security systems as per manufacturer's recommendations.
• Gather information from the field to replicate reported problems in a lab environment.
• Provide 24/7 emergency service capability as needed and be on-call as scheduled.
• Document all service calls and preventive maintenance requirements, ensuring all service documentation is completed daily.
• Provide information to Sales and Customer Service departments regarding the proper application of products.
• Maintain and ensure the safe keeping of the company vehicle when assigned.
• Assist with field installations of IDS, Access Control, CCTV, and GBR systems as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and 3+ years of hands-on experience with electronic alarm systems and sensors.
• Extensive knowledge and 3+ years of hands-on experience with electronic access control systems.
• Experience using programming software associated with electronic alarm and access control systems.
• General knowledge of computer hardware and experience with Windows Operating Systems & MS Office.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• CCTV and GBR experience is a plus.
• Two years of related college education is a plus.
