In this role as an Electronics Technician for Telecommunications Site Preparation, you will be an integral part of the T5 Program, which is a significant contract awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to Parsons. This contract, valued at over $1.8 billion, spans a four-year base period with two additional three-year options. Your work will support various FAA initiatives, including the Capital Investment Plan (CIP), the NextGen Program, and national security programs, all aimed at enhancing aviation safety and efficiency. You will be involved in a wide range of activities, including site selection, engineering, construction, equipment installation, and testing, all of which are crucial for the successful execution of the FAA's projects across the nation. As an Electronics Technician, you will conduct various tests using established methods, prepare test specimens, adjust and operate equipment, and meticulously record test data. You will also be responsible for identifying any deviations that may arise from equipment malfunctions or observational errors. Your role will involve constructing components and subunits, adapting standard equipment, and servicing or repairing simple instruments. You will follow specific design layouts for FAA NAVAID and Radio Communication Systems, ensuring that installations meet the required standards. Additionally, you will assist in construction activities, such as running cables and managing duct banks and conduits, under the guidance of your supervisor or higher-level technicians. This position requires a strong foundation in electronics, with a minimum of three years of experience or equivalent education and military technical training. You will need to meet customer security requirements, which will involve a background check by Federal Authorities. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
