About the position

The Electronics Technician at X Technologies, Inc. is responsible for assisting in the assembly and disassembly of avionics hardware and building interface test adapters. This permanent position requires working under the guidance of a Senior Technician in a fast-paced environment, focusing on electronic components and systems. The role involves technical skills in soldering, troubleshooting, and using various electrical lab equipment, with minimal travel expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly/disassembly of avionics circuit cards.
  • Perform soldering/desoldering of electronic components for testing.
  • Conduct Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis to evaluate potential failures.
  • Read and understand electronic datasheets and schematics.
  • Identify circuit board defects such as corrosion and cracks.
  • Assist in the assembly and wiring of Automated Test Stations for avionics hardware.
  • Contribute to the build of Automated Test Systems with commercial off-the-shelf test instrumentation.
  • Run automatic test equipment following on-screen instructions.
  • Assist in the assembly and build of Test Program Hardware (TPH).
  • Build Interface Test Adapters and cable harnesses.
  • Use crimp tools, label makers, heat guns, and general shop tools for assembly tasks.
  • Populate PCBs following schematic diagrams and solder through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently and follow engineering processes.

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years of Technician experience.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical lab equipment.
  • Proficient in using Digital MultiMeter (DMM), Oscilloscope, LCR, and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of basic Analog and Digital components.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Capable of soldering, making cable repairs, and building new cables.
  • Certified Technician or equivalent experience with Automatic Test Equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with shipping/receiving of electrical components.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments products such as PXI Chassis and controllers.
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PCB layout programs.
  • Previous electrical troubleshooting skills within the US military.
