About the position

The position involves testing and troubleshooting electronic units within the aerospace sector, focusing on ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards. The role requires hands-on work with various electronic components, utilizing technical skills to interpret data and communicate effectively with team members. The candidate will also engage in continuous improvement efforts and may be responsible for training others in technical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures.
  • Configuring, interpreting, recording, or setting up and operating various test stands.
  • Utilizing tools to test and troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level.
  • Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.
  • Communicating work status to team members and support staff.
  • Utilizing theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
  • Writing in a clear and concise technical manner.
  • Performing proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds.
  • Compiling with applicable elements of quality systems and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Acquiring applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.
  • Compiling with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.
  • Utilizing computer tools such as SAP and accurately follows work instructions.
  • Training others for technical tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or 4 years of relevant experience in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
