About the position

The Electronics Test Technician III role at Collins Aerospace involves testing and troubleshooting electronic units, ensuring compliance with quality systems, and participating in continuous improvement efforts. This position requires a strong understanding of electronic circuitry and the ability to communicate effectively with team members. The technician will work primarily onsite, with responsibilities that include configuring test stands, interpreting technical data, and training others as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures.
  • Configuring, interpreting, recording, or setting up and operating various test stands.
  • Utilizing tools to test and troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level.
  • Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.
  • Communicating work status to team members and support staff.
  • Utilizing theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
  • Writing in a clear and concise technical manner.
  • Performing proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds.
  • Compiling with applicable elements of quality systems and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Acquiring applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.
  • Compiling with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.
  • Utilizing computer tools such as SAP and accurately follows work instructions.
  • Training others for technical tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or 4 years of relevant experience in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined by regulations.
  • Communication skills.
