About the position

The Elementary/Middle School Art Teacher at Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) is responsible for creating and implementing a flexible art program that fosters student learning and personal growth. This role involves developing lesson plans, establishing rapport with students, and motivating them to develop essential skills and knowledge. The teacher will work within the company's educational philosophy to maximize student achievement and ensure a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of instruction that adheres to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Develops purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that maximize time on task.
• Presents subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunities and provides real-world application examples.
• Maintains accurate and complete student records and assesses student strengths and weaknesses frequently.
• Utilizes a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction in lessons.
• Coordinates class field trips as required and prepares students for state-required assessments.
• Communicates clearly and positively with parents and participates in extracurricular activities.

• Exhibits excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
