About the position

The Element Risk Manager will play a crucial role in supporting NASA's Kennedy Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program by managing risks associated with various projects. This position involves identifying potential risks, developing mitigation plans, tracking progress, and producing comprehensive risk reports. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and systems engineers to ensure effective risk management practices are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide element support to identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Track risk mitigation progress and document risk information using Active Risk Manager (ARM).
• Facilitate element risk review forums and develop presentations for risk reviews.
• Advise element leads on when to report risks to higher organizational levels.
• Create risk reports and prepare risk status presentations for project risk reviews.

Requirements

• Technical knowledge in risk management analysis using Active Risk Manager (ARM) software or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Engineering degree is required.
• Detailed understanding of the Program/Project Lifecycle and Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with SharePoint.
• Technical background in the aerospace industry.
• DoD experience.
