About the position

Heights Christian Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join as a part-time Vice Principal. This role is ideal for a leader passionate about fostering a positive educational environment, supporting teachers and students, and contributing to the school's growth and success. The Vice Principal will assist the Principal in various areas and is expected to embody the school's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in all areas as needed.
• Foster a Christ-centered, safe, caring, and nurturing learning environment.
• Motivate students and their families to accept God's gift of salvation.
• Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters.
• Assist with formal and informal evaluations of teachers and staff.
• Monitor grades weekly and assist with reviewing report cards and progress reports.
• Coordinate placement testing and assist with accreditation and professional development on campus.
• Partner with parents through strong, positive communication, collaboration, and outreach.
• Assist with the supervision of staff and improvement of instruction.
• Attend and participate in all-school events such as Back to School and Open House.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution or be willing to participate in a program to complete such a degree.
• Have at least three years of successful experience working with children.
• Receive a fingerprint clearance to work with children from State and Federal governments.
• Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet creation.
• Maintain current infant/child CPR and first aid certification.

Nice-to-haves

• A teaching credential is preferred.
• Experience in Christian education is a plus.
