About the position

Winston-Salem Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spanish teacher to join our team, working with students from first grade through ninth grade. Our school operates in a multi-aged classroom setting, which includes two Lower Elementary classrooms (1st to 3rd grade), one Upper Elementary classroom (4th to 6th grade), and an Adolescent Program (7th to 9th grade). The position is available as both full-time and part-time, with responsibilities spread throughout the week, allowing for both small and large group contact times with students. The ideal candidate will implement Montessori methods tailored to the unique needs of each age group, focusing on language development through immersive and interactive activities that align with Montessori principles. Collaboration with Montessori Lead Guides is essential to design and refine a bilingual curriculum that supports language acquisition and overall academic growth. The teacher will also be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect for different cultures among students. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the candidate will engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with Montessori practices and advancements in bilingual education. This role is situated in a stimulating and collaborative authentic Montessori environment, located on a 15-acre campus in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, serving over 250 children aged 18 months to 15 years. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Preferred)
  • 3 years of teaching experience (Preferred)
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to relocate to Clemmons, NC before starting work (Required)
