As an Elementary Daily Substitute at Charter Schools USA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students continue their education smoothly in the absence of their regular teacher. This position involves teaching pre-prepared lessons, managing student behavior, and maintaining established routines within the classroom. Responsibilities

• Reviews plans and schedules with the principal or designated teacher before the teaching day.
• Teaches lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Reports daily activities in writing and provides feedback as requested by the building principal.
• Follows all school and CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures.
• Consults with the building principal or supervisor before initiating any lesson not specified in the teacher's plans.
• Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classrooms.
• Oversees pupil behavior in class and during the school day as requested.
• Maintains appropriate student behavior throughout the school day.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Completion of District's Substitute Workshop (as required by the district).
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
• Ability to work and interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Strong time management skills including prioritizing, organizing, and scheduling.
• Basic computer skills including Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

• Experience in an educational setting.
• Previous substitute teaching experience.
