About the position
Roosevelt and Lincoln Elementary Schools are seeking a passionate and creative Elementary Music & Art Teacher to inspire young learners in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will design engaging lessons that foster creativity, self-expression, and a love for the arts. This position may include teaching both Music and Art at both schools or a combination of subjects at one or both locations. Please feel free to inquire for more details.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum in both music and visual arts.
- Teach fundamental music skills, including rhythm, melody, and basic instruments.
- Lead students in creative art projects using various media and techniques.
- Organize performances, exhibitions, and school-wide arts events.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate the arts into the broader curriculum.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Art Education, or a related field (teaching certification preferred).
- Experience teaching elementary-age children.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
