About the position
The Music Club advisor is responsible for the care and supervision of children in the Elementary School. The advisor is expected to provide exemplary musical instruction, prepare for and oversee musical rehearsals, and motivate students to enjoy music and musical performances.
Responsibilities
- Developing and issuing educational content including practice and rehearsals for performances.
- Supervising large groups of elementary school students to ensure all students are learning and participating in a safe and productive environment.
- Organizing supplies and resources for instruction, practice, and presentations.
- Delivering personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
- Planning, implementing, and participating in educational activities and events.
- Other duties as assigned by Principal.
- Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a teacher.
- In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Well-organized.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- Valid PA Teacher Certification.
