About the position

The Elementary School AIG Teacher at North Carolina Cyber Academy is responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning experiences for academically and intellectually gifted students. This role involves creating a supportive environment that fosters the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students, ensuring their success in an online learning setting. The teacher will also supervise students, monitor their progress, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide appropriate classroom learning experiences for students.
• Create an atmosphere conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals.
• Supervise students in an online school setting.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
• Utilize technology communication tools and resources to promote online learning and student engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Experience in literacy and math education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with special education practices and learning technologies.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with autism.
• Ability to develop and implement engaging curriculum and assessments.
