About the position

The Elementary Athletic Director at Owensboro Catholic Schools is responsible for managing and coordinating all athletic programs for the elementary schools. This part-time role requires a dynamic and compassionate individual who can work collaboratively in a positive team environment, ensuring the smooth operation of athletic events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate use of gyms for athletic events and activities, including practices, games, and tournaments.
• Coordinate athletic programs including registration, payments, and ordering uniform shirts.
• Verify all volunteer coaches have current background checks and safe environment training in accordance with the Diocese of Owensboro.
• Communicate regularly with school administration, teachers, parents, and community members about the athletic program.
• Order drinks for concession stands.
• Manage the budget for the athletic program.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and supervise volunteer coaches and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school administration, teachers, parents, and community members.
• Must pass a criminal background check and complete safe environment training for the Diocese of Owensboro before employment.
