About the position

The Elementary School Mathematics Interventionist Teacher at North Carolina Cyber Academy is responsible for enhancing the math skills of students, particularly those who are struggling academically. This role involves providing tailored instruction, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with classroom teachers to develop effective intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual or small group instruction tailored to the needs of each student or group.
  • Regularly assessing student progress and performance.
  • Keeping data-based records of student progress and performance.
  • Reporting student progress to parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Working with classroom teachers to identify students who need intervention, analyze student work, and develop and implement curriculum.
  • Providing support and professional development to teachers and other staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • 1 year of teaching experience (Required)
  • North Carolina Professional Educator's License (Required)
