About the position
The Onsite School Psychologist will support students' social, emotional, and academic well-being in Hutto, Texas. This part-time role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and professionals to evaluate students' needs, develop interventions, and create positive learning environments. The position is essential for providing diagnostic information and ensuring appropriate educational programs for students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the educational, learning styles, and program needs of each high school student referred to special education services.
- Provide diagnostic information and work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide the most appropriate programs for students with disabilities.
- Conduct reevaluations, provide counseling/consultation, and participate in MDRs.
- Test in the morning and write the report and draft ARD supports for the same student that afternoon.
- Support with the psychological portion of some reevaluations at an elementary campus nearby.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in physical therapy required.
- Active School Psychologist License for Texas.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments in a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
