You will engage students in scientific thinking and curiosity, emphasizing scientific literacy and interdependence among various scientific disciplines. The position offers extensive training and a proven curriculum, allowing you to concentrate on student engagement and development.

Responsibilities

• Teach science to students in grades K-12, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry.
• Develop students' scientific literacy, including reading, writing, and data literacy.
• Engage students in various scientific disciplines, highlighting their interdependence.
• Assess and analyze student data to tailor teaching methods for individual growth.
• Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development and receive feedback to improve teaching performance.
• Supervise a classroom of 20+ students.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree before the first day of work with Success Academy.
• A rigorous and relevant academic major (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering).
• Ability to work in person in New York City.
