About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development. This role involves engaging students in a variety of subjects while implementing effective teaching strategies tailored to diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through standardized testing and other assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff to address individual student needs, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Facilitate early intervention strategies to support students who may be struggling academically or socially.
  • Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote overall health and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Prior experience in private school settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
