About the position

The Elementary School Tutor position at HeyTutor involves providing academic support to elementary students in English and Math during after-school hours. Tutors will work with students in grades 1-5, helping them address learning gaps and promoting a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions independently using engaging materials.
• Prepare the tutoring area and organize lessons through the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Track student progress and ensure each student feels valued and encouraged.
• Promote positive behavior and foster an inclusive, welcoming environment.
• Help students complete assessments to measure growth and celebrate wins.
• Interact directly with students to create a dynamic learning experience.

Requirements

• Completed college or currently enrolled in a secondary education program.
• Tutoring experience or strong rapport with kids.
• Comfortable in a classroom setting and with K-8 Math and ELA.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check.
