About the position

National Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Spanish Teacher to join our team of educators. As an Elementary Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an engaging and age-appropriate Spanish language curriculum aligned with National Christian Academy's educational standards and values. You will deliver dynamic and interactive Spanish lessons that encourage language proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Additionally, you will incorporate faith-based principles into daily lessons and activities, supporting students' spiritual development while teaching language and culture. Classroom management is a key aspect of this role, as you will create a positive and organized classroom environment that fosters language learning, cultural appreciation, respect, and discipline. Regular assessment of student progress through various methods will be essential, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents to guide their language development. You will also need to tailor your teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. Maintaining open and effective communication with parents is crucial, keeping them informed of their child's progress in both language acquisition and spiritual development. Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in language instruction and faith-based education is expected. Collaboration with colleagues and school leadership to support school-wide initiatives and create a cohesive educational experience is also part of the role. Encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities, such as cultural events, language clubs, school chapel services, and community service projects, will further enrich the students' educational experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Eligibility for ACSI Accreditation within one year of hiring.
  • A strong commitment to Christian values and the mission of National Christian Academy.
  • Previous teaching experience, ideally in an elementary school setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and a strong understanding of language pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to continuous professional growth and development.

  • Strong organizational skills and effective classroom management techniques.
