About the position

Gretna Public Schools is looking for qualified candidates to fill various teaching and administrative positions for the upcoming school year. These roles include positions at both the high school and middle school levels, focusing on a range of subjects and special education. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of the school and support the principal in daily operations.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and curricula for students.
  • Provide support and guidance to students with special needs.
  • Teach foreign language, family consumer science, vocal music, instrumental music, and other subjects as assigned.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance in accordance with district policies.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Manage classroom environments to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Valid teaching certification in the relevant subject area.
  • Experience in teaching or administration in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
