About the position
East Elementary is looking for a dedicated Special Education Paraeducator for the 2024-25 school year. This role involves supporting special education students in a classroom setting, working closely with teachers and staff to ensure a conducive learning environment for young learners.
Responsibilities
- Assist special education teachers in implementing educational programs for students with disabilities.
- Support students in their daily activities and help them with their academic tasks.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with young children, particularly those aged 5-6 years, is preferred.
