The Elementary Support Teacher plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of classroom operation within a Montessori educational environment. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement curriculum aligned with Montessori principles.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and challenging learning environment.

  • Establish and maintain clear behavior expectations and classroom routines.
  • Monitor student progress through routine observations and assessments.
  • Prepare well-written narrative progress reports for each student.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share classroom responsibilities and solve problems.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and manage classroom budget effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or beyond in a related field.
  • Montessori certification for ages 6-9 or 9-12 or willingness to undertake training.
  • Massachusetts Educator Licensure for Grades 1-5.
  • Experience working in a Montessori classroom.
