About the position
The Elementary Teacher for Kindergarten at Copperas Cove Charter Academy is responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for young students. This role involves planning, organizing, and presenting educational activities that promote the social, emotional, and physical development of students. The teacher will utilize creativity and adaptive thinking to tailor instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize educational activities for kindergarten students.
- Present lessons that contribute to the educational, social, and physical development of students.
- Enhance students' self-worth and equip them with essential knowledge and skills.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional plans to match students' abilities and learning styles.
- Utilize considerable judgment, tact, patience, and sensitivity in dealing with students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (required).
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or enrollment in a TEA-approved alternative certification program.
- Experience working with students, preferably in a teaching role (1 year preferred).
- Teaching ESL Certification (preferred).
