About the position

We are seeking a Social Media Community Coordinator to nurture and grow the ELEMIS community across various social media platforms. This role is integral to our Social Media team and requires a passion for social media marketing and community management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional collaboration and communication skills, working closely with our Marketing and PR teams, as well as Customer Care, to ensure 100% responsiveness across all social platforms. As the brand voice and primary relationship manager between ELEMIS and its consumers, you will own community management and engage with our audience effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for community engagement, social listening, content creation, scheduling, campaign planning, trend research, social reporting, and competitive research. You will analyze community sentiment and engagement through daily, weekly, and monthly insights reports, ensuring that our messaging aligns with our brand ethos and meets customer needs. Your role will also involve producing engaging content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with a particular focus on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Additionally, you will assist the Social Media Manager with scheduling and posting, including on weekends and holidays. You will evaluate potential risks to the brand while identifying opportunities for positive engagement. Creating global community management guidelines and fostering relationships with content creators will also be key aspects of your responsibilities. Staying updated on the latest social media trends and competitive landscape will help you bring fresh, creative ideas to the team, contributing to our overall social media strategy and community growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own community relationships, communications, and engagement across social media platforms, including comments, DMs, mentions, and replies.
  • Manage social listening, setting benchmarks on conversation engagement, sentiment, and other metrics to measure the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
  • Analyze community sentiment, engagement, and social listening via daily, weekly, and monthly community insights reports.
  • Produce responsive, engaging content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with an emphasis on TikTok and IG Reels.
  • Assist Social Media Manager with social media scheduling and posting as needed, including on weekends/holidays.
  • Evaluate and forecast potential risks to the brand while spotting opportunities for positive moments to amplify.
  • Identify viral moments in infancy and share insights and recommendations for brand adaptation.
  • Create global community management guidelines and provide recommendations to local markets as needed.
  • Assist Social Media Manager in fostering relationships with content creators and spotting new content creators in the ELEMIS community.
  • Communicate customer suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement, expanding our community members base and generating community awareness.
  • Ensure community messaging and responses are representative of the market, customer needs, and brand ethos.
  • Stay up to date on the latest social media trends, trending audios, and memes.
  • Work closely with the social media team for social campaign, trend, and content development ideation.
  • Develop competitive trend and research reports as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, marketing, or business.
  • 1-3 years' experience in social media, community management, and content creation for a brand (in-house or agency).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, IG, Facebook, YouTube) and familiarity with newly emerging platforms like BeReal.
  • Proficiency in community management and social listening platforms (Dash Hudson, Emplifi, etc).
  • Detail-oriented, high energy, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Interest in the beauty industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write in professional yet social-friendly language.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work to set deadlines.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, digital-first work environment.

Benefits

  • Salary range between $63,000 and $69,000
