About the position

The Hospitality Manager at Elon Dining will oversee day-to-day operations in one of the three dining halls, ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence. This role involves leadership, client relationship management, financial performance oversight, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards, all while fostering a positive work environment for team development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations in one of the three dining halls.
  • Engage and develop team members using the Harvest Table Culinary Group coaching model.
  • Reward and recognize employees for their contributions.
  • Ensure individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectations.
  • Plan and lead daily team briefings.
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
  • Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements.
  • Deliver client and company financial targets.
  • Educate teams on key levers to improve margins based on performance metrics and data.
  • Bring value through efficient operations and appropriate cost controls.
  • Supervise team regarding production, quality, and control.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
  • Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations regarding safety, health, and wage and hour compliance.
  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a management role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Harvest Table Culinary Group standard model.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a culinary or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
