About the position
The Family Specialist at Community Services for Children (CSC) plays a crucial role in supporting families by providing information and resources related to early learning opportunities. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, conducting needs assessments, and ensuring families have access to necessary services and programs for their children's healthy development.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer services to families of young children seeking information and opportunities for healthy development.
- Meet with families in various community settings to conduct needs assessments and provide information and referrals.
- Conduct daily program activities of Family Services, handling inquiries and referrals to ensure efficient operations.
- Accurately conduct all program processes in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with regulations and performance standards.
- Assist families in completing applications for the Child Care Works program and provide information for publicly funded early learning programs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in social work, business administration, early childhood/human services, or a related field.
- Ability to help customers and colleagues problem solve in a friendly and informed manner.
- Proficiency in using required databases, software, and technology relevant to the job.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and full-time use of a vehicle.
