About the position

Lids is seeking a creative and data-driven Email and SMS Marketing Manager to lead the email and mobile marketing channels. This role focuses on developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance customer retention, drive sales, and build brand loyalty through personalized communications. The manager will oversee campaign planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all aspects of email and SMS marketing campaigns, including calendar creation and campaign deployment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for promotional planning and customer contact strategy.
  • Provide direction and feedback to creative and marketing teams to ensure clear messaging.
  • Create and analyze reports to identify customer behavior patterns and improve retention and loyalty.
  • Continuously enhance email and SMS marketing strategies for subscriber growth and customer acquisition.
  • Maintain relationships with email service platforms and other vendor partnerships.
  • Drive process improvements for efficient delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations governing email communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of email marketing experience, preferably in a B2C retail environment.
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing and customer segmentation.
  • Knowledge of email best practices and compliance laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).
  • Strong analytical, copywriting, and editing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with Email Marketing Platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo).
  • Knowledge of HTML and SQL.
