About the position

The American Bar Association (ABA) is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to join its Marketing Automation and Operations team. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily email operations of the ABA Marketing organization, ensuring that automated email campaigns are executed efficiently and effectively. The Email Marketing Specialist will work under the supervision of the Email Marketing Analyst and will be responsible for various aspects of email marketing, including content development, configuration, quality assurance testing, audience segmentation, and maintaining email data hygiene. In this position, the specialist will assist in leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to enhance marketing communications. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain operational accuracy and transparency in all automated email campaigns. The specialist will also be tasked with generating monthly reports to monitor email performance, identify usage patterns, and troubleshoot any errors or issues that may arise. Collaboration with stakeholders across the organization is essential to ensure that audience segmentation rules are adhered to and that feedback is effectively communicated and integrated into the email marketing strategy. Responsibilities

  • Support the daily email operations of the ABA Marketing organization to ensure that campaigns are completed and deployed on time.
  • Support audience segmentation rules and maintenance of targeting lists, including coordinating with stakeholders throughout the organization to communicate and collect feedback.
  • Maintain all operational aspects of automated email campaigns with accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist in generating monthly reports to monitor email performance, usage, errors, and issues for functionality.
  • Perform other related duties as required, including assisting with technical issues surfaced through our community platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or with a major Email Service Provider (ESP) or email creation platform.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Self-directed with strong project and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow QA processes and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in SQL and/or JavaScript.
  • Proven experience with building reports and managing dashboards in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
