About the position
The ideal Email Developer candidate has extensive experience coding HTML-based emails and some experience doing so within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This position will be part of a team that executes for a customer in a regulated industry where accuracy is the primary objective (over speed). This position will be part of a core team that expands rapidly within the next 12 months to meet anticipated customer capacity. The Email Developer will be responsible for reviewing and slicing customer-provided graphic design files (i.e., PSD, images, etc.) and hand coding HTML and CSS for emails, ensuring cross-browser and client compatibility. Additionally, the developer will be tasked with developing responsive and mobile-first emails, as well as dynamic content by utilizing AMPScript and/or SSJS. The role also involves developing Salesforce Marketing Cloud email templates and content blocks for use within emails, staying current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform features and capabilities, and assisting with developing best practices and processes that the entire team will follow. As the team expands, the Email Developer will also assist with the training and onboarding of junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Review and slice customer provided graphic design files (i.e. PSD, images, etc.)
- Hand code HTML and CSS for emails ensuring it is cross browser/client compatible
- Develop responsive and mobile-first emails
- Develop dynamic content by utilizing AMPScript and/or SSJS
- Develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud email templates and content blocks for use within emails
- Stay current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform features and capabilities
- Assist with developing best practices and processes that the entire team will follow
- Assist with the training and onboarding of junior team members as the team expands.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience developing emails in HTML
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ years' experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
