About the position
The ideal Email Developer candidate has extensive experience coding HTML based emails and some experience doing so within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This position will be part of a team that executes for a customer in a regulated industry where accuracy is the primary objective (over speed). This position will be part of a core team that expands rapidly within the next 12 months to meet anticipated customer capacity. The Email Developer will be responsible for creating visually appealing and functional email templates that align with the client's branding and marketing strategies. The role requires a strong understanding of email best practices, including deliverability, rendering across various email clients, and mobile responsiveness. The candidate will also need to stay current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform features and capabilities to leverage them effectively in email campaigns. Additionally, the Email Developer will assist in developing best practices and processes that the entire team will follow, ensuring consistency and quality in email production. As the team grows, the Email Developer will also play a key role in training and onboarding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and slice customer provided graphic design files (i.e. PSD, images, etc).
- Hand code HTML and CSS for emails ensuring it is cross browser/client compatible.
- Develop responsive and mobile-first emails.
- Develop dynamic content by utilizing AMPScript and/or SSJS.
- Develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud email templates and content blocks for use within emails.
- Stay current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform features and capabilities.
- Assist with developing best practices and processes that the entire team will follow.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of junior team members as the team expands.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience developing emails in HTML.
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ years' experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
