About the position

The Manager, Email Marketing at IXL Learning will lead the development and implementation of email marketing programs for the company's flagship brand. This role focuses on both B2B and B2C campaigns aimed at driving customer acquisition and enhancing engagement among existing customers. The manager will collaborate with various teams to create effective strategies, oversee email operations, and manage a team of email marketing specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of email marketing programs for IXL.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for growth and retention, including lead generation, lead nurture, engagement, onboarding, upsell, re-engagement, and transactional emails.
  • Optimize email marketing processes, including campaign development, email design, segmentation, and personalization.
  • Monitor analytics and conduct A/B testing to refine email strategy.
  • Ensure success of email execution, QA, deliverability, and maintenance of the database; assist with deployment of emails as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, Design, and Engineering teams to develop and execute campaigns and automation projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of email marketing specialists.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 7+ years of email/CRM marketing experience, including experience with SaaS or subscription-based services.
  • Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience managing, coaching, and motivating teams.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including building triggered email programs and managing lists.
  • Experience with Acoustic is a plus.
  • High level of comfort working with engineers and product managers; SQL experience preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to make thoughtful decisions that align with company needs and values.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and project management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with an eye for design and content that resonates with consumers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
