About the position

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for strategizing and executing email and SMS marketing campaigns aimed at driving bookings from both prospects and past guests. This role encompasses the entire campaign lifecycle, including audience engagement strategies, content planning, audience segmentation, deployment, reporting, and optimization. A key focus is on growing the opted-in customer database to enhance marketing outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategy and execution of email and SMS direct marketing efforts for prospects and past guests.
  • Develop an ongoing email and SMS content calendar and manage deployment of high volume, high frequency B2C campaigns.
  • Create relevant triggers and automated journeys to achieve marketing goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute database growth strategies to increase the audience of prospective customers.
  • Design and implement customer segmentation strategies for personalized user experiences.
  • Ensure consistent, customer-centric brand messaging across all touchpoints by collaborating with web and revenue management teams.
  • Work with brand and creative teams to ensure timely completion of campaign assets for personalized marketing campaigns.
  • Develop reporting and analysis of direct marketing campaign performance.
  • Create and execute a test & learn roadmap to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of marketing experience with a minimum of 3 years in direct marketing.
  • Extensive email marketing experience managing high-volume campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing SMS, direct mail, and other database marketing channels.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Journey Optimizer, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Attentive, or similar email/SMS service providers.
  • Ability to champion marketing automation, personalization, and segmentation.
  • Previous experience managing the creative aspects of direct marketing, from briefings to approvals.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Excel and web analytics.
  • Thorough understanding of CAN-SPAM and email compliance rules, as well as SMS compliance rules.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, multi-national company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL is a plus.
