About the position

KPMG is seeking an Embark Scholar Intern for its Embark Scholars program, designed to provide students with hands-on experience in audit, tax, and advisory services. This internship offers a unique opportunity to rotate through various business practices, gaining insights into professional services and contributing to client engagements through data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through audit, tax, and advisory businesses to learn how KPMG serves clients.
• Provide a spectrum of assignments across practices, supporting engagement teams with audit methodology and Data and Analytics (D&A).
• Assist in creating work paper files, preparing client reports, and organizing business development activities.
• Identify the scope of engagement capabilities, review client materials, and propose how analysis can be leveraged.
• Leverage a range of technologies and analytics tools to contribute to financial information integrity.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy, Taxation, or related degree.
• Intention to obtain a CPA is preferred for accounting majors.
• Candidates must have completed at least 1 semester of coursework at the time of application.
• Upon completion of the internship, candidates must have at least 3 additional semesters to complete their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA of 3.00 or above.
