About the position

The Director of Finance will lead the Accounting department of the Hotel, focusing on internal controls, external audits, GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures. This role is critical for managing revenues, internal controls, and communications with the Executive Committee and Corporate Team members, while also overseeing audits and cash management processes in collaboration with the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple assets, projects, and assignments simultaneously.
• Accept responsibility for P&L results of a hotel portfolio and seek improvement opportunities with operating peers.
• Act as a liaison between ownership, operations, and stakeholders for all financial matters, including monthly operating results and audits.
• Manage internal and external audits for various hotel ownership groups.
• Ensure compliance with Remington Hospitality policies and procedures.
• Oversee Cash Management functions, including cash calls and cash flow projects.
• Review and collaborate with the Operations team on forecasting and budgeting assumptions to ensure accuracy of cash flow and operating results.
• Assist with onboarding new team members in accounting and key hotel positions affecting financial operations.
• Maintain relationships with various ownership groups.
• Recruit, grow, and develop associates within the accounting team.
• Provide visionary, strategic, and functional leadership for finance and accounting across the department and hotel.
• Train other departments on accounting tools available to them.
• Assist in maintaining team morale and uphold ethics and integrity at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in hotel accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level oral presentations and written proposals.
• Strong PC skills including Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Public audit experience is preferred, but not required.

• Experience with ProfitSword, MyDigital Office, and Oracle Cloud ERP.
