About the position

The Embedded Audio DSP Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing signal processing algorithms for low-power/high-compute audio features in Apple's innovative products. This role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to integrate audio features into real-time audio subsystems, ensuring high audio fidelity and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement signal processing algorithms on programmable hardware.
• Optimize audio DSP features for low power and high compute performance.
• Write unit tests and integration tests for comprehensive software validation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with acoustics experts, algorithm engineers, DSP software engineers, audio driver developers, and hardware engineers.
• Integrate audio features into real-time audio subsystems while addressing audio fidelity and performance issues.

Requirements

• Experience in developing and optimizing DSP algorithms.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to DSP and firmware development.
• Strong understanding of audio signal processing concepts and techniques.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests for software validation.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
