About the position

The Embedded Audio DSP Firmware Engineer will be part of Apple's Audio Media Technologies (AMT) group, focusing on developing and optimizing low-power/high-compute audio DSP features for various Apple products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance audio experiences through innovative signal processing algorithms, ensuring high fidelity and performance in real-time audio subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms on programmable hardware.
• Write unit tests and integration tests for comprehensive software validation.
• Collaborate with acoustics experts, algorithm engineers, DSP software engineers, audio driver developers, and hardware engineers to integrate audio features.
• Solve audio fidelity and performance issues during the integration process.

Requirements

• Experience in developing audio DSP algorithms and firmware.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of signal processing concepts and techniques.
• Experience with real-time audio systems and low-power design considerations.
