About the position

The Audio Media Technologies (AMT) group at Apple is seeking a dedicated individual to develop and optimize low-power/high-compute audio DSP features for various Apple products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance audio fidelity and performance, directly impacting user experiences through innovative features.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms on programmable hardware.
• Write unit tests and integration tests for comprehensive software validation.
• Collaborate with Acoustics experts, algorithm engineers, DSP software engineers, audio driver developers, and hardware engineers to integrate features into real-time audio subsystems.
• Solve audio fidelity and performance issues during development.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of DSP fundamentals, preferably in audio (speech enhancement, noise cancellation/reduction, media processing, sample rate conversion).
• Excellent C/C++ coding skills.
• Experience in realizing audio/DSP/real-time features and applications.
• Experience with development and debugging of audio issues on hardware platforms.
• Ability to problem solve independently and collaborate effectively with various disciplines.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
