About the position

The Embedded Audio Engineer at eInfochips Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software for audio infotainment systems using real-time operating systems like QNX and Android. The role involves working with Qualcomm DSP processors, validating software components, and mentoring team members while coordinating with multi-site teams to ensure high-quality technical deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software with real-time operating systems such as QNX and Android.
• Perform basic hardware board booting/debugging, interpret schematics, and use oscilloscopes.
• Develop platform software for Qualcomm DSP processor peripherals including UART, SPI, I2S, I2C, and Flash.
• Design and develop audio infotainment systems based on Qualcomm platforms.
• Validate software components in isolation using Python programming and hardware-based testing.
• Conduct feasibility studies to optimize software for audio infotainment product families and hardware platforms.
• Mentor and guide team members, coordinating with multi-site teams to produce quality technical deliverables.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with QNX OS and Android OS.
• Familiarity with audio devices and automotive domain is highly preferable.
• Experience with Qualcomm chipset and Qualcomm DSP.
